The Coat of Arms is an expression of the deep dark fruit characters we attain from the Ferguson region, rich and smooth with lashings of chocolate, entwined with secondary characters of oak and black olive.

Winemaking technique enhances the aromatic and flavour profile of the varieties whilst maintaing a long fine tannin structure. Maturation adds further layers.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Vibrant blackberry, plum and mulberry, with chocolate and black olive hints. Varietal sweet blackberry fruits with added complexity of gentle toast, olive and bay leaf hints. Pure and long with a balanced framework of tannin.
Vineyard Notes
Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced predominately from the Blinman block which was planted in 1998. Soil is typically a deep layer of ironstone gravelly loam over red and yellow friable clay with slight westerly aspects at elevations of 220 to 250m above sea level.
Production Notes
100% barrel matured in new (20%) and older french hogsheads.
Winemaker Notes
The 2016 vintage begun with a hot Spring, likely due to a strong El NiƱo influence, with October, November and December considerably warmer than the previous season. Rolling on to January, the Geographe region received 74mm over four days of rain on January 18, proving a test for most Vineyards, however the fruit remained pristine and fresh.
